Ronnie’s passion for fishing began at the age of 6. He and his father fished the waters of Lake Erie in Ohio for walleye, perch, bass and catfish.
When his father became a U.S.C.G Captain on Lake Erie, Ronnie began his career as a first mate. Over the next 30 years Ronnie honed his fishing skills and began to target his favorite species “Walleye.”
1995 began Ronnie’s career as a tournament angler. Fishing the PWT, RCL, MWC as well as local circuits, Ron quickly established his name in the walleye world.
Career highlights include: 2001 2nd place pro RCL Lake Erie, four top 10 finishes in the MWC from 2006-2008, 2014 2nd place pro NWT Trenton, MI, 2014 LEWT 1st place Lakeview and 1st place championship Huron, OH.
During this time, Ronnie has been a full-time employee of Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake, OH. For the last 20 years Ron has been a U.S.C.G licensed captain on Lake Erie. He follows the walleye migration on Lake Erie in Ohio. Ron provides instructional charters for the beginner all the way through to the more advanced techniques employed for the competitive tournament angler.
Ronnie can be found on the ice guiding in the winter when conditions allow as well as speaking throughout the Midwest including Bass Pro Shops Rossford, OH, Novi boat show, Michigan-Ohio Expo, fishing and outdoor shows as well as local fishing clubs.
“Over the years as my career has progressed, I have been blessed with so many wonderful opportunities to work with great companies as well as meet wonderful people all over the country. I enjoy passing along my love of fishing as well as the knowledge and experience I have gained to anglers of all experience levels. I feel honored to work with great non-profits such as Hooks for Hunger locally as well as the Wounded Warriors.”

Brian Koshenina has been fishing since the age of 4 and hasn’t stopped since! In his younger years, Brian spent time chasing walleyes across the Midwest as an amateur, drowning plastic worms for bass in open tournaments and spending countless hours “hunting” and catching the elusive musky.
Brian now spends his time guiding and mentoring as a volunteer. He’s also a staff writer for the largest online fishing magazine, ODU Magazine, and represents some of the top companies in the industry as a Pro Staff and Guide Staff representative. Brian has emerged as one of the top professional fishing guides in Minnesota for both the hard and open water seasons, and has worked the Minnesota Governors Fishing Opener as a guide since 2012.
His sponsors include HT, Striker Ice, Snyder’s Lures, Onyx PFD’s, Hook Look Lures and Rods,Shady Rays,
Jim has fished Lake Erie since 1953. His father bought their first Erie boat in 1962. He has fished in 113 walleye tournaments and has 13 wins and 8 big fish awards. He’s happy to be part of the Reef Runner Family.
Brian was introduced to fishing by his father Peter at the very young age, and by the time he was 5 years old was hooked. From that point on he has been a multi species angler chasing trophy’s out of any body of water Wisconsin has to offer. His favorite target species being Smallmouth Bass, Walleye and Musky.
Brian has had success fishing on both the tournament circuit and as a part time fishing guide. At the end of the day, he prefers fishing with friends and family over anything else. His favorite place to fish is Vilas County in Northern Wisconsin; an area he has been fishing for over 30 years.
He lives by the motto that “Hook sets are free” so grip it and rip it. A firm supporter of catch and release and wildlife conservation. Brian loves releasing big fish with the hopes that a young angler will set into that same catch, (hopefully a little bigger) and will be hooked on fishing for the rest of their lives.
Brian’s favorite Reef Runner color schemes are:
- Algal Bloom
- Rotten Banana
- Baby Walleye
- Dirty Penny
Jonathan was born and raised in the small town of Hearst in Northeastern Ontario, Canada and is currently residing in Timmins, Ontario, Canada.
Jonathan is a proud father of two boys and married to his favorite supporter.
Jonathan fishes at every opportunity on both hard and soft water pretty much year round and the thing he loves the most is introducing new anglers (young and old) to the sport of fishing. His favorite specie to target is walleye in reservoirs and shield lakes in the vast Northern area region he resides in. He is also a huge advocate of catch and release for the sustainability of the amazing resource. Jonathan also likes to target other species and try new techniques to challenge himself and also learn at every opportunity.
Jonathan’s favorite technique to catch big walleyes has been pulling crankbaits on planer boards which has proven to be very effective on certain local lakes. Jonathan is also hooked on an annual Bay of Quinte trip; where walleyes are huge and possibilities of a fish of a lifetime are quite realistic. His current personal best walleye is from that area weighing in at 14lb14oz, caught on a Reef Runner 800 series and released to grow even bigger.
Over the last few years, Jonathan has 17 top 20 tournament finishes on the NOWT (Northern Ontario Walleye Trail – www.nowt.ca) including 4 top 5 and 10 top 10 finishes.
An avid photographer, Jonathan truly enjoy blending both passions to create eye-catching, stunning images displaying the beauty of the sport may it be of scenery, fish or simple moments. The old saying…a picture is worth a thousand words.
